For 2 consecutive years Wanderlust Magazine readers voted The West Highland Line as the World’s Most Scenic Train Journey. Readers and travellers suggested the missing link was a real train with a direct Edinburgh via Glasgow to Fort William service providing a memorable journey in comfort. An additional need was the ability to travel with large luggage and bikes without disturbing fellow passengers.

Long before this prestigious award, millions of visitors had travelled the lines which at times leaves even the most experienced traveller speechless with their contrasts of wild rugged mountains and moors to rushing streams and tranquil lochs and sea.

To those of you who are budding photographers the scenes are endless and you may even experience the opportunity of all Four Seasons in one day as you travel to your destination at a leisurely pace.
