WhestRail seeks to link Rail Travel to Tourism and Corporate Events. In particular the Outdoor Pursuits of Walking, Cycling and the Ski Slopes along the world famous West Highland Line and Highland Line corridor in Scotland. For 2 consecutive years Wanderlust Magazine readers voted The West Highland Line as the World’s Most Scenic Train Journey.
Readers and travellers suggested the missing link was a real train with a direct Edinburgh via Glasgow to Fort William service providing a memorable journey in comfort rather than the mundane service from ScotRail. An additional need was the ability to travel with large luggage and bikes without disturbing fellow passengers.
Long before this prestigious award, millions of visitors had travelled the lines which at times leaves even the most experienced traveller speechless with their contrasts of wild rugged mountains and moors to rushing streams and tranquil lochs.
Join us and by using WhestRail and you can leave the 21st Century behind in Edinburgh or Glasgow and travel through an unspoilt world to The West Highlands or Highlands along a rail corridors which have a new fascination and mystery around every bend.
WhestRail gratefully acknowledges the help given by the West Coast Railway Company, SRPS, Network Rail, John Cameron and the Support Teams.
