AT THE PRESENT MOMENT NO TOURS ARE PLANNED FOR 2011 ON THIS ROUTE. DETAILS OF POTENTIAL SCHEDULES AND COSTS ARE LEFT FROM 2010 FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY.

The weekend of July 3rd & 4th 2010

Please now go to Tour C on 25 & 26 September 2010 to repeat this exciting journey which will also go to Glenfinnan and back.

The first of our trains in 2010 will be steam hauled by K4 locomotive 61994 The Great Marquess in both directions from the Glasgow area. The train will be diesel hauled initially from Falkirk to Glasgow where 61994 The Great Marquess will take the train onto Fort William. This is subject to a positive change in that we may run with steam from Inverkeithing if permitted. Over 300 miles behind steam.

As a normal request for Charter Trains we would ask all customers wishing to travel on this Tour to notify us by 5 June to ensure a reservation. This enables us to assess the viability so that in the event of cancellation all monies will be refunded immediately in full.

On Saturday July 3rd. the train will call for passengers at :-

  • Falkirk Grahamston Depart - 11.00
  • Glasgow Springburn Depart - 11.45
  • Dumbarton Central Depart - 12.20
  • Helensburgh Upper Depart - 13.30
  • Fort William Arrive - 18.45

On Sunday the timings may not allow a full journey on The Jacobite Steam Service from Fort William to Mallaig.

On Sunday July 4th the train will leave Fort William at 13:00

Arriving at

  • Helensburgh Upper - 18.45
  • Dumbarton Central - 19.45
  • Glasgow Springburn - TBA

As the train is likely to be fully loaded from the Glasgow area early booking is recommended but seats may be available on the day at a premium of £5. Short journeys may also be available between selected West Highland Line Stations without the guarantee of a seat. All payments on the day are in cash only. Please enquire for short journey prices and potential from Crianlarich, Rannoch, Corrour, Spean Bridge.
