AYR2AIRSHOW EXPRESS Saturday 10 September 2011 We regret to inform you that we have been forced to cancel the special train due to Engineering Works in the Glasgow area. This action has effectively prevented us from collecting passengers at Paisley and Springburn as well as adding a further 1 .5 hours to the journey with a very much later arrival at Leuchars.
We apologise for the cancellation of this train due to situations outside our control.
WhestRail are pleased to present with RAF Leuchars and SRPS Railtours a special diesel hauled direct train from the Ayrshire Coast and Glasgow to Leuchars for the Air Show or a day out in Dundee. With the announced closure this may well be the last RAF Leuchars Airshow so why not make it a day out to remember.
This event always draws large crowds to Leuchars and this year WhestRail can offer a stress free direct rail service easily beating road congestion and overcrowded service trains with all the station changes which have caused severe problems and criticism.
We will collect you in the morning from your most convenient local station and set you down safely at RAF Leuchars. In the evening we will safely return you totally relaxed after an enjoyable and rather special day.

The WhestRail Ayr2Airshow Express is hauled by 2 Heritage Diesel Locos and will use Scottish Railway Preservation Society Heritage Coaches with on board catering provided by SRPS Railtours. We will use the City Union Line through Glasgow and the Forth Coastal Line from Stirling via Culross to Leuchars.

Ticket prices are based on a day return from your nominated station to the Air Show and are for First or Standard seating. If you have already purchased Air Show tickets there is a Travel Only offer but a very attractive fully integrated Travel, Admission, Air Show Programme Offer is now available. Additional Notes
All tickets booked in July and August will be sent by post in good time for use on the 10 September. These will inform you of the Coach and Seat Reservation number. If in the unlikely event tickets are not received prior to the day of travel it is possible to print out the computer generated Reservation Confirmation and present this to WhestRail staff on the train who will guide you to your reserved seat. Official Programmes will not be sent by post but will be available at your reserved seat in First Class or can be purchased in Standard Class. If reservations are made in September then only the computer generated Reservation Confirmation is acceptable. Tickets may be available on the day of travel for cash payment only from WhestRail staff on the train providing a telephone reservation has been made. All meals must be paid for in advance. Light Refreshments are available on the train.
